{Celebrate} Using the Party in the USA Creative Components Kit

 Hey there scrappy friends! Lacey here with my first layout of the month using the “Party in the USA” Creative Components Kit.

I was feeling quite festive with this page and just loved those cherries that were in the ephemera pack included in the kit. 

I decided to start with a solid white cardstock and made a giant star that sorta hung off the page. I added some mixed media with the stencil from the kit all around the star. I was following along with a sketch from Paper Issues and totally went for it. 

I used 3 images of my godchild showing her patriot spirit and staggered them along the page. 

I fussy cut lots of the banners and bits from this month’s "Party in the USA" Digital PDF to tuck in and around the photos to add dimension. I think my favorite part is the board punch that I trimmed and added pieces to the outside edge of the star. It brings a delicate touch and I’m here for it! 

I finished it off with a boarder of pattern paper on the left and top of the page to balance out the weight of the star.
