{Boston} Using the Shoot for the Stars Limitless Kit

Happy Sunday scrappy friends! Today I am back to share my final layout with the "Shoot for the Stars" Limitless Kit and "Essentials" Kit. For this one I decided to do lots of fussy cutting and go for a more Autumn theme with the items in the kit.

I started by using a white cardstock for my background and added some messy textured stamping with some "Black Soot" Distress Oxide Ink using some stamps from my stash. Next I added some zig-zag stitching stamping with the same black ink.

I took lots of time to fussy cut one sheet of the black "leaves" paper from the 6x8 paper pad that came in the essentials kit and also some of the flowers and leaves from the 12x12 patterned paper from the main kit to use as the main embellishments on my page.

I also used that same paper to mat my photo on it was a great way to bring in some more green to the page. Once I had everything cut out I began to assemble the page and started by putting my photo in the center of the stamping that I created. I then started tucking the leaves under the photo and around the image only adding glue to the center stem so the edges of the leaves could be curled up.

For the title I printed the word BOSTON out in a font that I liked on printer paper and then cut it out with my scissors. I then flipped the letters to the backside and traced them on the back of the patterned paper so I could fussy cut them from the patterned paper. I could defiantly save some time and use my electronic cutter to do this step but I enjoy the process of fussy cutting and also like to let others know that you don't have to have an electronic cutter to have special titles.

I then popped the letters up on foam adhesive to give them dimension and staggered them on the page. To embellish I used some thread and created some twiddles and tucked them under some of the fussy cut flowers that I scattered around the page.

I decided to add a secondary title at the bottom so I added some more stamping and used one of the chipboard stickers. I tucked in a flower and added the date stamp under it to finish off the page.
