{Catching Some Rays} Using the Open Skies Limitless Kit

 Hi scrappy friends! It's finally Friday and it's summer here in the south! I am so excited to start sharing all the bright fun layouts using the newest release "Open Skies". Summer layouts are my favorite thing to scrap besides Disney of course! 

I started this one with a wonky sketch and used a white cardstock base to start with. I trimmed it down by a few inches on each side so that I could lay it tilted on the background stripe and you were able to see plenty of all those amazing colors! 

Next, I created 2 matching banner pieces that I cut from Kraft cardstock and trimmed up with my pinking sheers. Before placing those on opposite sides of the page as mats for my photos I used some "Distress Oxide Ink" and the stencil from the main kit to add some color to the page. 

I also used the new "Scribbles, Splatters, & Stitches" 4x6 Stamp Set to add the stitched circles around the page in a few spots. I used 2 photos and kept my mats pretty small but also used one of the frames from the ephemera pack as a giant photo corner on each one of the photos. I love how it pops! 

I continued to embellish further with stickers from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet in the main kit and then added a few pieces of the chipboard titles to build onto my title using pieces from the "Open Skies" Essential Kit. 

I think my favorite piece from this kit are those exclusive patches! I just knew I had to use one right away! I made this one a focal point for the title of my page and I love the way it turned out. I layered it on top of one of the tag pieces from the add on kit and some stamping and then added that perfect little bikini sticker! How cute is that?!
