{Adventure} Using the Open Skies Limitless Kit
Hey there scrappy friends! Today I am back sharing another fun page made with lots of fun mixed media using this month's "Open Skies" Limitless Kit and add ons.
I decided to dive head first into all the mixed media on this page and added lots of "Distress Oxide Inks" with the stencil from the main kit. I used the "Ink Blending Brush" here. Then I added some spritz of mist over it to add a bit of shimmer.
I then layered my strips of patterned paper overlapping and staggering them across the page. I used a few tags that I cut from Kraft cardstock and tucked them in around my page to ground my embellishment clusters a bit.
For the title I decided to use one of this month's acrylic pieces and layer it with some of the ephemera bits from the "Essentials Kit". Because my patterns were so busy I decided to keep everything else tightly snug around them so that my mixed media could really shine on the edges of the page.
I also decided to add the longitude and latitude location to my page with the new "NJFB Alpha" stamp set and it was a great addition. Stamping each individual number was time consuming but I love the bold black ink and it really adds to the page. My stamping isn't perfect but that's ok! I still love the look I was trying to achieve.
A second cluster of words and phrases was perfect for the negative space at the top right of my photo. I used bits from both of the kits here and they all worked perfectly together! I finished off Bothe my tags with some twine from the packaging of our kits!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you in some way! Please follow along on our Facebook page and share your projects using the following hashtags: #njfb #notjustforboyskitclub #openskieslimitlesskit (or whatever kit you are using!) Till next time, happy scrapping y'all!
