"1950's in Highschool" using the "Melodies and Memories" Limitless kit

Hey there my friends!

I'm excited to share this second double page lay-out with you using the Melodies & Memories" kits!

When my husband shared these photos with me years ago, I always knew I wanted to scrapbook them, but with what and how, was the big question, Then along comes the "Melodies & Memories" kits and a perfect match was made!

How do Poodle skirts, Malt shops and American Bandstand fit with "Melodies and Memories" you ask? My sweet Mother-n-Law's School photos from the 1950's of course!

Here's the LINK for the "Melodies & Memories" kits, if you want to check them out!

Below is the page I'll be designing for you in the video!

I have to tell you, it was hard to cut this gorgeous cardstock down the middle for a double page spread.. and even harder to begin tearing around the edges lol! I think it came out beautifully though and the two pages look so lovely side by side!

I also wanted to create a photography studio feel, so I used a page from the 6x8 paper pack "Photographer" in the Essentials kit and used it as a back drop for my journaling. What do you think?

Since a photographer was needed, I fussy cut one out and named him William lol! He's even poised perfectly as he looks down on "Mema" and her basketball team to take the photo!

Here's a sneak peek of the second page of the lay-out and I included another fussy cut photographer! I was able to have him looking down to snap the photo! I love the dimension in this cluster with the ephemera, labels and tag!

I play with some distress oxide "Speckled Egg" on my background and add some sequins to finish it off!

In my You Tube video for you,  I create the first page live, and then share a FUN-REVEAL during the second half, with the completed second page.  I go over techniques and steps as I talk about the second page ... and... of course ...I tell the story! It's a funny one!

Here's the LINK TO MY VIDEO if you'd like to grab your favorite beverage and craft with me!
