{This Was Steller} Using The Gravel and Grit Limitless Kit

Hey there scrappy friends! Lacey here back with my last share for this short month of February. For this one I decided to throw everything on but the kitchen sink! LOL! The "Gravel and Grit" Limitless Kit has defiantly been a blast to play with!

I had these fun pictures of my kids from a few years back during Halloween and I just loved them. I knew they would be perfect to use up the 12x12 sticker sheet and the Mintay Chippies on. I started my layout on a piece of white cardstock that I did lots of mixed media on first. I started with a stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in "Mowed Lawn" adding the burst of rays to the left side of the page. Then I used black pen to draw a graft pattern on top. Lastly I added lots of black splatter all over the page.

Next, I added some strips of patterned paper and one of the stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet down the page to sort of divide it in half. It gave me a landing place for my photos. I took lots of time altering all the chippies from the Mintay chippy sheet using markers and inks and then finished them off by heat embossing them with clear and colored embossing powders from my stash.

I scattered them all around the page mixing them in with the stickers popping some up on foam and leaving some flat on the page. I love all the explosive color all over the page! It just makes me happy!

For my title I used the sticker word "STELLAR" and added the glitter foam letters to spell out the full title, I think the mix of bold colors and fonts were just perfect for the page.

As a final added embellishment I decided to create a fun little tag to add the work "FUN" to at the top of my photos. I was able to use the yellow and orange twine that my kit came wrapped in to add to the tag and I love the way it pops!

Even though this is one of the most busy layouts I have ever made, I adore the way it turned out! It is just stellar!...pun intended!
