{Winter Adventures} Using the Flannel & Frost Limitless Kit

 Happy Friday scrappy friends! Lacey here again with another layout using some more bits and pieces from my "Flannel & Frost" Limitless Kit and the "Christmas Star Border" Cardstock Cut. The moment I saw this cut I knew I wanted to use it as a branch and hang something from it! 

At this point it the month I have been following along with Meridy and stretching my kits to create some amazing layouts to get the years of Christmas past scrapped and in my books! I kept this one simple and used a premade Vicki Boutin background page for the base of my page and pulled a piece of gold glitter cardstock paper to back my cut file and add some pizzazz to the page! 

I used the tissue paper that my kit comes wrapped in to back my photos and give them a soft border that I could distress by layering and folding the tissue. 

I also used the string that my package is tied with to tie the photos to the branch so they appear to be hanging, suspended from it. I love the look here. It reminds me of ornaments on a branch of a tree. To ground them I added a banner cut from the glitter cardstock and layered it on top of a piece of the patterned paper from the kit. 

For the cardstock cut I used Distress Oxide Ink and colored it dark blue to match the background and backed each of the star openings with the gold glitter cardstock. I punched extra gold stars from the cardstock to sprinkle down like they were showering down page. The gold bow was also an old punch I have in my stash and almost never use so I added it to the end of the branch. 

I gutted the brown woodgrain paper from the kit and matted the whole layout with it to give it a darker edge and carried this element over to the tab I used for the date as well. For the title I used the white Bella Blvd alphabets from the kit. They really pop against the dark blue of the background paper.
