{Holly Jolly Jammies} Using the Flannel and Frost Limitless Kit
Hey there scrappy friends! We are so close to Christmas are you ready?! I know I'm not! I was LIVE last Wednesday the NJFB Facebook Group creating with the "Flannel and Frost" Limitless Kit and we had so much fun! If you missed it you can go back and rewatch it anytime so hop on over and have a look!
I started this one with a sketch I found on Pinterest. I chose a white cardstock base and added some mixed media to the background. This layout became a total group effort and I loved the way it turned out! I used Distress Oxide Ink in Evergreen Bough and a stencil from my stash to add the trees along the back.
I then wanted to focus on the tags I had cut from the tag sheet in the kit. I used many of them and lined them up as a sort of mat for my strip of photos. I like to use film strip photos on a linear style layout. It is a fun way to showcase a lot of photos.
I used a piece of the green plaid from the kit to ground it all. I tore both sides to Gove it lots of texture. Once I had everything down I decided to add the stamping so I lifted it all carefully and added the black swatches stamped and carefully put everything back into place. This is probably one of the times I am thankful I don't use wet glue!
For my title I decided to go with a mix of foam stickers, stickers from the cardstock sheet and some of the Bella Blvd alpha stickers! This is such a fun mixed title. To embellish further I added some of the ephemera pieces from the kit and some added stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet.
Lastly, I decided to add another tag top to the left side of the title and tied it with a twine bow to finish it off. I also added some gold splatters to top it off! I really love the way this one came out and I got lots of help from my friends in the group!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you in some way! Please follow along on our Facebook page and share your projects using the following hashtags: #njfb #notjustforboyskitclub #FlannelandFrostlimitlesskit (or whatever kit you are using!) Till next time, happy scrapping y'all!
