{Our Amazing Story} Using the January 2021 "Renewed" Premium Kit

 

Welcome back to the {Not} Just For Boys blog! Today, I'm sharing a layout that combines several kits: the January 2021 "Renewed" Premium Kit, the January 2021 NJFB Page KIt, and the December 2021 NJFB Page Kit. 

The two photos I chose for this layout are not from the same day or the same location, but they represent a time period. My boys were little (ages 1 and 4) and having two young boys those ages was definitely a challenge! I told the story through my eyes now, looking back, rather than through my perspective at that time. I love retrospective journaling and it works well for these photos. 

For this layout, I combined six papers from the kits that match my photos. When I combine several patterns together I often look at my photos for inspiration. I took the black, white, navy, red, and camel colors directly from the photos and used the accent colors sparingly. 

 

For the title, I combed black Thickers (from the "Flurries" Deluxe Theme Kit) and the 5th and Monaco word puffy stickers. I stamped one of the hexagon stamps on the background paper using black ink, then adhered my journaling on top of the stamped images.
