Product Spotlight {Charms}

Charms aren't just for jewelry-making anymore.  We love incorporating them into our layouts too!!!  We have included a pack of charms in a couple of kits so far.  If you haven't used charms on your layouts before, here are a 5 different ways to incorporate them on your layouts...

1-Build up layers.  You can place charms on the top of a stack of layers.  I adhere them with a strong adhesive, such as Glossy Accents.  You can also adhere them with strong Glue Dots.  The next few photos include charms are from the "Debut" Premium Kit.

2-Add charms to embellishment clusters. Charms can dress up embellishment clusters, the enamel charms in the "Blast Off" Deluxe Theme Kit are perfect for this because they are colored!  Enamel charms are can basically "stand alone" on a layout.  These charms can be a cool little addition that adds to the detail of the embellishment cluster.

3-Tie them with twine. The "Jurassic Beasts" Deluxe Theme Kit includes a set of 5 silver charms.  I tied some baker's twine through this charm, to make it look like it's hanging on the page.  I still attached the charm to the layout with glue, it only "looks" like it's tied on the page.

4-Dangle from a bow.  I tied a bow with baker's twine on the layout pictured below, then I strategically placed the charm directly under the bow, so again, the charm only appears to be hanging off of the page, it is actually glued down.

5-Cut off the shank.  Many times I will cut the shank off of the charm before adhering to a scrapbook page, but sometimes, like in the example below, I leave it on.

We hope this gives you some inspiration for using up the charms that came in your kits!  Thanks for stopping by today.
