{Determined} Using the Urban Edge Limitless Kit
Happy Saturday scrappy friends! Today I am sharing a fun new interactive page using the brand new "Urban Edge" Limitless Kit and add ons.
This kit is jam packed full of all the manly things. It's perfect for documenting all the special moments for the men (or growing men) like birthdays and Father's Day. I decided to use it to document our boy getting some of his Young Marine ribbons. As you can see it perfect for military type photos as well!
I love that 49 and Market always has so many bits to choose from in their package. I mixed some of the chipboard pieces from the "Urban Edge" Essentials Kit with the die cut pieces from the main kit to create lots of mixed layers.
I had the envelope hanging around on my desk and I wanted to incorporate it on my page so I thought it would be fun to make my page interactive and when I saw these die cut pieces that were like leather straps I just knew it was perfect!
I added the die cut pieces to the left side of my photo and used a bone folder to make them hinge open once I glued them to my page I could lift my photo and access the envelope underneath.
I added a few tags to the envelope under the photo but the main purpose of the envelope will be to hold the print out of the ribbons that he received that day and their meanings along with some journaling.
I replaced the white twine with the blue that our package comes wrapped in so that it matches the layout and I love how the pops of blue look on this page!
For the title I added it to the front of my photo and matting but let it overhang a bit so that the dimension is still there when everything is laying flat. I finished off embellishing it with some of the sticker sheet from the main kit and it was done!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you in some way! Please follow along on our Facebook page and share your projects using the following hashtags: #njfb #notjustforboyskitclub #urbanedgelimitlesskit (or whatever kit you are using!) Till next time, happy scrapping y'all!
