{Together} Using the “Woodsman” Deluxe Theme Kit

Hi everyone! This is Joy here today showing you another layout I’ve created using my “Woodsman” Deluxe Theme Kit

My oldest son is now 17 and I have all these old pictures of him as a baby and toddler that never made it into scrapbooks because I started scrapbooking when he was about five years old. I definitely wanted to make sure this picture of him and his grandma made it into the scrapbooks. They always had a connection.

I started cutting the patterned papers into strips and laid them on a piece of black cardstock. I had them all meet behind where the photo would sit and when I felt they looked good, I adhered them to the cardstock. Then I matted my photo on one of the patterned papers and stuck it down.

I tucked a shipping tag in behind my photo and started adding sequins from the coordinating sequin mix along with a couple of star stickers from the sticker sheet. I cut a word from one of the patterned papers and inked the edges in black and adhered that to my tag as well. I finished it off by tying some of the black and white bakers twine from the trim pack through the hole at the top.

I used this “Together” cardstock cut as my title. I mixed up a little of the red Milk Paint and painted my title. I love using cuts like this as titles. It’s so simple and quick.

I then went around my layout adding the wood stars and scattering more sequins around my layout until it felt complete.

Thanks for taking the time to come look at my layout! If you’re creating with any of these kits we would love to see you share your work with us on the {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club Facebook group. You can also find me and all of my scrapbook layouts on Instagram. Until next time!
