{My Hero} using "American Hero" Deluxe Theme Kit
Hello!!! Jennifer here, sharing my first layout for July using the "American Hero" Deluxe Theme Kit. This is an 8 1/2x11 layout design.
When I picked my kit to work with for the month, I knew I had these beautiful photos of my niece that I wanted to scrap for my family album. I picked the cutfile to start with and I knew I wanted the camo as a background.
I painted the cutfile with the milk paint and had a light outline of black around it. I backed the star with fabric included in the kit. To complete my title, I cut the red heart (it is popped up on play foam) from a cut apart and added in white sticker letters. To get the capital "I" I took two T's and put them together. The capital I with a top and bottom line just looked better to me. I also added in the date with the sticker letters.
In this photo, I used the stencil to add black stars and dots over the camo. Then attached the cutfile directly to the background. I added in the metal charms on the left side using the packaging jute to attach them.
Here I backed the photos with patterned papers, double matting the kissing one. For the final touch I added in enamel dots and decided it needed a border. So I cut a border from another pattern paper to attach around the outside edge
