{Love} Using “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” Deluxe Theme Kit

Hello!!! Jennifer here sharing my first layout for April using "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" Deluxe Theme Kit. This is an 11 x 8 1/2 landscape layout design.

I started with the cutfile that is included in the kit. I colored it with watercolors mixed with iridescent glaze. I colored each letter leaving the baseball white except the stitching. The glaze adds shine and texture.

I let that dry and moved on to the background. I used the left over watercolors and glaze by adding more water and using a packaging technique. I did the same color behind each letter. I added in silver behind the baseball to make it pop off the water background. Once it was dry I added in white acrylic paint splatters.

This kit comes with lots of chipboard and brads. I used chipboard pieces to create clusters around the layout. Chipboard is kinda thick and to not add extra bulk I pealed the chipboard apart so I could layer the pieces together. When you remove the backing you do need to add extra glue to reattach them to the layout.

At the top of the layout I tore papers to add a little more pattern paper and it adds a little something extra to the background. I also added a chipboard piece and some stars.

The final touch was adding a brad and the mini alphas to complete my title. As you can see in the close up I had to make my own letter "t" for this title. But it works. I do that alot if I am missing a letter and need it to finish the layout.
