{Sing Out Loud & Rock The South} Using the Melodies & Memories Limitless Kit

Hey there scrappy friends! Lacey here posting this one while we are a way on our very first Disney cruise! This months kit is jam packed with lots of elements for the "Arts" music and photography themed at its best! So if you have a music lover in your life like I do you defiantly need the "Melodies & Memories" Limitless Kit!

I wanted to embrace the grungy feel of this kit and just went with it for this page. I used a solid white background and added lots of mixed media. I used a brayer and my favorite Nuvo Mica Spray. I added it with the brayer and allowed for lots of drips and splatters.

Next I used a stencil to add some more texture right on top for the mica mist after it dried. I used "Distress Oxide Ink" in Weathered Wood with a "Blending Brush". Lastly, I added lots of black splatters using some tattered down black acrylic paint.

For the next step once my background was dry I added the torn paper to the top of the page and added the film strip from my stash that came from a past kit. I then decided to add the 49 & Market rub-ons scattered all about the background. I didn't worry if they didn't rub in completely because I am embracing the grunge on this page.

I matted my photo on a piece of the distress black patterned paper from the 6x8 pad and torn the bottom at an angle for more texture. I then created a small tag to tuck into the bottom to bring some of the color down further on the page. After adding my photo I also added some bundles of tangled thread on both sides.

For my title I used a sticker from the sticker sheet and continued the phrase with the gold Thickers right down the left side of the photo. To finish off the layout I added a few more stickers from the sticker sheet to embellish and then tied one of the music charms to the small tag I created for the bottom of my photo.

This page has so much character and I love the grungy distress look of it! I can't wait to dig back into my kit and see what other inspiration comes to mind!
