Next Stop, Andy Using the Gravel and Grit Limitless Kit

 Happy Friday scrappy friends! Today I am up on the blog sharing my first page using the "Gravel and Grit" Limitless Kit and add ons. 

This kit is jam packed with all the boy things! If you have boys of any age this is the perfect kit for you! I just love all the bold and bright colors in this kit. I started with a solid white cardstock and used the Tim Holtz stencil from the main kit and some Distress Oxide ink in "Black Soot" to create the tire tread marks haphazard across the background. I used a blending brush to apply the ink and you can find those in the shop here.

After applying my ink I took to the sewing machine and did a straight stitch all the way around the page with yellow thread. The main element on the page is the giant orange speech bubble, I freehanded it on scratch paper and then used my scissors to cut it out of the patterned paper. I also added the stitching around the outside of the bubble to give it texture as well. 

I layered my photos in the bottom right corner of the page and then popped the speech bubble up on foam layering it on top of my photos. Because the background is so busy with the large mixed media stenciling I kept my photos simple with just a white border and a few layering pieces underneath. 

To jazz up the black and white of the background I decided to add all the stars from the sticker sheet in tiny clusters around the page. I even added some of the exclusive sequin mix for even more punch of color! 

I also created a cute little page with some scrap cardstock and a scrap of patterned paper which I applied one of the stickers from the sticker sheet to and finished off with the colored twine that my kit was wrapped in. 

Lastly, for my title I used the foam Thickers from the main kit and mixed them with patterned paper letters that I cut with my Silhouette to complete my page. Those glitter alphas are a perfect match to the blues in this kit!
