{Zoom} Using the Faded Concrete Limitless Kit

 Happy Friday Scrappy friends! Today I am back sharing my monthly layout that I create LIVE over on the Facebook page in our group! If you haven't joined us for a live scrappy session what are you waiting for?? 

I wanted to focus this one on doing something new and using the mixed media in a fun new was so we started with a solid white cardstock as the background and used the stencil from the kit and the Nuvo Drops as a paste to rub through the stencil creating some glossy texture on the background! If you have a big stash of Nuvo Drops and are looking for a new creative way to use them, try this technique! You will be surprised by what you can create!

I then started my design from a layout I had seen posted online with lots of tags and bits and printed her version in black and white to use as sort of a sketch/scraplift to get me where I I wanted my finished layout to be. I used lots of layers of papers and embellishments to accomplish this and added in some tags I cut with my die cutting machine and layered the rub-ons on top of those as well. 

I just kept tucking and layering till I felt like I had achieved the look I was going for all around my photos. For my title I use the "Zoom" acrylic piece from the "Faded Concrete" Acrylic Word Set that is available in the shop. 

I even decided to use some of the rub-ons on white cardstock and punch them out to back this little frame. It added another layer of dimension to the page and kept the black elements in 3's in a triangle around the page to keep your eye moving!

To add even more texture I like to bring in twine to tie off my tags and things that have holes punched in them, I love saving and using the raw twine that my NJFB kits come wrapped in each month and using it on my projects. It is always such a bonus touch to lots of the layouts I create! 

I finished this one off by stamping my date on that little downward facing tab and rubbing on a few of the rivets in random spots throughout the page. It was a fun one to create LIVE!
