{Hello Sunny Days} Using the Limoncello Sorbet Limitless Kit
Hi scrappy friends! I hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day. We are maxing and relaxing on this long weekend. Today I am back with another layout using the "Limoncello Sorbet" Limitless Kit and some fun mixed media!
I chose to start this one on a white background because I wanted to do some mixed media with a favorite, well loved stamp from my stash. I picked some colors of Distress Oxide inks that matched the kit and decided to do a messy stamping. You can find the inks here. After I stamped across the background I used some of the ink to make lots of splatters on top.
I then cut shapes of surfboards out of some of the patterned paper from the kit and layered them on top of the background. I also took a black pen and added some detail around the edges of the surfboards to make them pop a little.
I added a little embellishment cluster in the top corner using the "Beach" piece and some pieces from the ephemera pack. I used black paint to fill in the lines of the word beach to that it also would pop a bit. To do this I just apply the paint to the from of the piece concentrating on the grooves in the acrylic and then while it is still wet I wipe it off with a wet paper towel and the ink stays in the grooves.
For my title I used the puffy stickers from the kit to create a bold colorful title. I think the orange and yellow stands out against the blue ephemera from the kit. Lastly I used some more ephemera pieces to create a bottom cluster on the corner of my photo with more tiny little surf boards!
I had so much fun creating with this months kits! I hope you have enjoyed them as well!
