{Crisp Air of Fall} Using the "Harvest Plaid" Page Kit
Hi scrappy friends! Lacey here to share a layout for our monthly challenge over in the NJFB Facebook group. This month is all about using trims or textiles on your page. I used some velvet ric rac from my stash to help your eye find the total to the page better. I used the "Harvest Plaid" Page Kit this month!
I started this page with a solid white cardstock and used some "Distress Oxide" with my favorite new technique to create some beautiful mixed media. I use a brayer for this technique as I find I have some control over how the ink goes on the page.
I used lots of bits of patterned papers for layering under my photo, including a tag I made using a die from my stash. I added dimensional foam to give it lots of height and depth. While building up my layers this is where I also added in the velvet trim and some gold metallic thread in and around those layers.
I used the "Harvest Plaid" Essentials kit foam title stickers for part of my title and added the "fall" acrylic title from our add on section in the shop to finish it off.
To embellish my page I used more of the foam stickers from the essentials kit as well as hand colored the wooden camera piece. I just love the way it turned out!
To finish off the page I wanted to add some strips of paper to the top and bottom of the page. I chose to cut those pieces at an angle to lead your eye into the center of the page.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to create in some way!
