{Legendary Auctioneer} Using the "Nostalgia" Limitless Kit
When I saw this kit I started to do what I always do think of photos that I have to use with the kit. Then I saw the wood veneer that Meridy and Paula had created to go with the kit. It was perfect for these Auctioneering photos of my dad. He use to repair TV's back in the day and was a professional auctioneer. He was very well known and even closed Auction Houses after leaving because he would take the clientele with him. They would follow him to the next auction house. This was one of the first Auction Houses he worked for and probably one of the longest. I will add journaling to the top right corner of page two.
The background paper is from my stash. When creating three page layouts I really like to use the same background paper. I splattered it with white acrylic paint it already looked like gray cement. I have a total of ten photos. Mainly about 3x4 size the two at the top of page two are smaller and the two on page one are slightly bigger. My grandpa, my dad's father took these photos. He was a hobby photographer and enjoyed taking photos.
If you have ever been to a real old time Auction this is exactly what it was like. Dusty, things all over the place and everything is for sale. You bid on whatever it is you want to buy. The Auctioneer usually starts the price and works his way up as people say yes or no if they want it. He has to watch the crowd and look for bidders. He also would show how items worked or talk about them to sell them. Yes he was a fast talker and was one of those auctioneers that spit out numbers really fast and said YEP a lot.
So I choose ephemera from the 49 and marker pack included in the kit, also the PinkFresh pack and stickers from an older NJFB kit from Uniquely Creative to create clusters in the open spaces or in open areas of the photos. I wanted my dads name to be apart of the title and also the Auction house. So I basically created two title areas. The acrylic piece on page one is also from NJFB's. I painted the wood veneer with the Nuvo pens from the Nostalgia essential kit. I added a few of the 49 and Market negative frames backed with 49 and Market pattern paper. I inked edges of everything.
I matted all the photos on white cardstock then a colored matt or pattern paper. A few have stickers on them. Nothing is popped up on foam just layered up. The tiny sale tags on the wood veneer pieces are from an older NJFB kit. I tied string in the tags and called this layout complete.
