{My Man} Using the "What a Man" Page Kit
Hello Jennifer here sharing my second layout of the month. I choose to use up my "WHAT A MAN" page kit. Creating an 8 1/2x11 layout of my mom and dad.
This is a favorite photo. It's not the best but the way my mom looked at my dad just screamed love. In this photo they were just 40 and 34 years old. My dad had just been diagnosed with ALS a terminal illness. They had no idea what the next four years would be like for them as a family and a couple.
I choose to go grungy. If you know anything I love pattern paper so I took a piece of stash paper from a Craft Consortium paper pad and added it to the kit. It was perfect. It's the diamond 3D metal looking paper. I tore edges and inked it up. I kinda used a 30 days sketch by Kathryn Ronson.
I used the stencil that was included in the kit to create the black and white checker board. I used distressed ink to color it a little bit. I did splatters with white paint and the shimmerz paint. I used the shimnerz paint to color the wood veneer gears too. I picked stickers to place on the layout popping up some of them on play foam. A few sequins around the layout and it was finished.
