{Dream Car} Using the "What A Man" Page Kit

Hey friends!   Brianna Lepper here today and I'm so excited to share my layout using the brand new "What A Man" Page Kit.  This layout is also for the October Color Challenge.  I can't wait to see what you create!  Here's my page:

The color challenge goes well with this kit so it was a perfect pairing!  Now, the aqua in my layout isn't a perfect match to the blue in the challenge, but I think it's close enough ;).  I was inspired by the Spellbinders stencil in the kit and wanted to create somewhat of a car themed layout.  So I took the stencil and the black cardstock from the kit and ink blended on some white pigment ink from my stash.  I tore the black cardstock and adhered it to the Photoplay Brilliant paper.  It just really pops!!

I ended up spraying some white acrylic paint and some gold mist spray for some extra interest as well.  I then took the "Circles and Arrows" Cardstock Cut and used it as a layering piece for my photo that I matted with a few papers from the kit.

I started embellishing with the Photoplay cardstock stickers and used the alphas from it for my title.  I loved the lightbulb banner and it was perfect to hang on the right side.

Next, I took the "Cogs" Acrylic and Wood Embellishments  and added those around my page.  They're so cute!  I also took the thread that they wrap our kits in and tied it around my layout for some extra texture.

Here's one more look at this super fun boy layout:

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that I've inspired you in some way!  Do you like to add mixed media to dark cardstock?  I've been loving it lately and I really like how everything pops off of the page.  We would love to see whatever you are creating so please post to our {Not} Just for Boys Kit Club Community Facebook Group and on Instagram with the following hashtags: #njfb #notjustforboyskitclub #whataman (or whatever kit you are working with)
