{You Rock} Using the "Epic" Page Kit
Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using the August 2022 "Epic" Page Kit. This page kit is so fun and I really enjoyed creating with it! Here's my page:
I was immediately inspired by the Cocoa Vanilla Nebula patterned paper and started fussy cutting a lot of the stars out. At this point, I was also torn between which cardstock cut to use and in the end, I went with the Starburst Cardstock Cut. I love to get creative and I love to find different ways to use cardstock cuts and since my photo has sun rays in it, I thought I would "open" up the cut by trimming off the surrounding frame.
The "Epic" sequin mix was just too good not to use, so I thought it would be best highlighted in a sequin shaker. I turned the star portion of the cardstock cut into a shaker by first backing it with acetate, then applying thin foam strips around the edge and carefully spooning the mix inside. To seal the shaker, I backed it with vellum and then popped the entire cardstock cut up on foam tape. Before adhering it to my white cardstock background, I added some mixed media by ink blending on a few Distress Oxide inks from my stash.
Next, I took all of my fussy cut stars and applied them around my page.
Next, I added my photo on top of a few chipboard frames from the Cocoa Vanilla chipboard stickers and used the "You Rock" acrylic embellishment as my title.
The photo is of my son hanging out in the car and I thought it would be perfect to add the "Cassette Tape" wood embellishment to my page. It's so cute!
For some final details, I added a few chipboard stars around my page and tore some of the Carta Bella washi tape from the kit and added it to the top and bottom of my layout for some extra color and interest.
Here's one more look at this fun page:
